Offender John Baltazar heard that his mother was beaten by her boyfriend, and went to the boyfriend's sister's house. He broke down the door and fired shots, meaning to the kill the boyfriend but instead hitting two young girls killing one. He then shot the girl's father who also survived.

Offender: Charles Peace was a career burglar. He shot a policeman while fleeing the scene of the crime, and later shot the husband of a woman he was obsessed with.

Offender: Ricky Ray Rector shoot a man when denied access to a club, shot a police after agreeing to surrender, and then tried to kill himself. The brain damage he took during the attempt made his death sentence highly controversial.

John Muhammad

Offender: John Muhammad was one of the two DC Beltway Snipers, the other being his accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo. They committed a numbers of shootings, first in various states, then they focused in the DC area in Virginia and Maryland.
